WHY CHANGE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES?

 

Speeding kills. South Carolina had 82 Interstate Highway fatalities in 2010. The economic loss to State of South Carolina was $121,000,000. Nationally, 71 traffic enforcement officers were killed on duty while 12,000 people were fatally injured result of speeding.

To date, the I-95 Public and Officer Safety Program has statistically saved 3 lives and 11 people from serious injury.
